BOTOX® Cosmetic/ Nuceiva™ – Neuromodulation with Botulinum toxin has proven to be a revolutionary treatment in aesthetic medicine. It is the most popular cosmetic procedure in North America since early 2000’s. It is a simple, minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure that temporarily softens or eliminates frown lines between the eyebrows also known as the number 11 lines, horizontal lines on the forehead, and crow’s feet around the eyes. Botox® has also been used to create an eyebrow lift, smooth the pucker lines around the mouth and relax the muscles causing droopy mouth corners. The procedure involves a short appointment with Dr. Gill; she will do a comprehensive assessment of your face and facial muscles, inject few tiny needle injections of Botox® in the desired area which will relax the facial muscles that cause those lines and wrinkles to form over time. Results usually last 3 to 4 months and even longer with repeated use. For comfort of patient an ice pack can be used.

Therapeutic or medical Botox® is beneficial in conditions like chronic migraine headaches, hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating, cervical dystonia or spasmodic torticollis (painful tightening of the muscles in the neck) and Temporo-Mandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction.
