LATISSE® is prescription topical medication for the treatment for hypotrichosis (inadequate or not enough eyelashes) to grow eyelashes longer, fuller, darker. It is a once-a-day treatment you apply topically to the base of your upper eyelashes, desirable changes are noticed at 8 weeks with full effects at 16 weeks of therapy. It is believed that this medication prolongs the active growth phase of the eyelashes. The most common side effects reported in 4% of patients are itching sensation in the eyes and eye redness. On occasion it may cause slight discoloration of the border of the upper eyelid; but this is actually an attractive benefit. It is recommended to apply latisse after cleaning face and removing contact lens. Application only on the upper eyelid with sterile applicators supplied and discarded after each individual use.

During clinical studies, full results appeared after 12 to 16 weeks of daily use.

Study participants experienced these results after 16 weeks:

• Eyelash length increased by 25 percent.
• Thickness and fullness increased by 106 percent.
• Eyelash darkness increased by 18 percent.
